Angel Tree at South University Library

South University collected over 67 gifts for 15 children under the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program in 2012.

This is the third year that South University has participated in the program, and the second year that it has been a sponsor of the program, which means that it commits to adopting fifteen angels.

South University's participation in the Angel Tree program was started in 2009 by the library director, Evelyn Campbell. She started out by adopting seven Angels and three children in need in the community, and that first year, South University collected more than a hundred gifts for ten children.

And every year the Angel Tree is housed in the library. Faculty, students and staff stop in to pick out their Angels. Administrative departments, students in different programs, adopt their Angels and pool their resources to purchase as many gifts as they can. It is all part of being good citizens in the communities in which we live and work.
